So the world is a bit weird right now. Things are starting to open up but it still isn’t quite the same. I also know the current economic uncertainty mixed with someone who is already having trouble working has people thinking about getting the increase in their service connection that is supported but perhaps they put off filing for, or the secondary conditions they put off filing for, or taking another crack at supporting a service connected psych condition. So it seems like more people are starting to examine their VA disability due to the pandemic. At the same time, I have a little more time on my hands due to the pandemic.
As a result of the pandemic back in April 2020 I started offering a discount for any Nexus Letters/IMO’s. It was for medical records I received through May 2020. However, I am now assuring you that the discount will continue at least through the end of JUNE 2020. There will be no extra fee for large files, all records reviews will only be charged at the lowest rate of $600 (the usual fee for records from 1,000-1,499 pages is $900 and for 1,500 pages and above is $1,500). So, this is a significant savings. I know it isn’t always easy to collect your records so this will give people some more time as well.
One thing in terms of timing. I appreciate that there has been a lot of interest lately. I normally say that it takes me 2 to 3 business days to get a report (nexus letter) back to you and I do try to stick to that, but sometimes lately I’ve been running a bit closer to 3 to 4 days due to somewhat higher interest than usual lately.
Thanks,
Todd Finnerty, Psy.D.
7/22/2020 update: at times I’ve been very busy lately; although it won’t always take me this long I now quote that I may not have the nexus letter back to you for a week to ten days. If you have a deadline coming up please let me know ASAP so I can plan to help you meet it.
